If a macOS permission for Lifeline gets stuck (for example after an update), removing Lifeline from the permission list and adding it back usually clears it.

Steps

  1. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. On older macOS this is System Preferences, then Security & Privacy.
  2. Select the permission you want to reset, such as Accessibility, Automation, or Calendars.
  3. Find Lifeline in the list and remove it with the minus (–) button.
  4. Quit and reopen Lifeline. When it asks for the permission again, allow it.

If the permission still doesn't take effect, restart your Mac and try once more.
