If a macOS permission for Lifeline gets stuck (for example after an update), removing Lifeline from the permission list and adding it back usually clears it.
Steps
- Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. On older macOS this is System Preferences, then Security & Privacy.
- Select the permission you want to reset, such as Accessibility, Automation, or Calendars.
- Find Lifeline in the list and remove it with the minus (–) button.
- Quit and reopen Lifeline. When it asks for the permission again, allow it.
If the permission still doesn't take effect, restart your Mac and try once more.
